MEJO 187 Projects:
Project 1
For MEJO 187, our first project was to create a website design on mobile and desktop for one of five given topics. I chose to do “Key Moments in LGBTQ History,” highlighting four events that I believe had some of the most significant impacts on the LGBTQ community. The articles were written with the help of Bing AI, and the designs were created by me, through Adobe XD.
This was my first time using Adobe XD, so that in itself was a challenge, but so much fun tinkering around! The designs can be found here (requires an account to view):

Project 2
For MEJO 187, our second project was to code a website design for one of five topics. I chose to do “Four Trailblazing Women In Fashion,” highlighting four women internationally who I believe had some of the most significant impacts on the fashion industry. The articles were written with the help of Bing AI, and the designs and code were created by me, with the help of the text editor, Visual Studio Code.
At this point, I had only learned the most basic parts of using HTML and CSS, but was able to successfully create a website and upload it. The link to the website can be found here: https://opal.ils.unc.edu/~aranatza/project2/index.html
Final Project
Our final project for 187 was to ONLY use what we knew in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a website on any topic of our choice. Since we were doing a lot of research with and usage of Bing’s Artificial Intelligence system, I decided to do a one-page scrolling website on Generative AI.
Here’s the link to go check it out: https://opal.ils.unc.edu/~aranatza/finalproject/
- NOTE: the front page has since warped after uploading into OPAL – the UNC SILS Domain. I will be sure to fix this soon, but until then, the title card is not as it should appear.
